For reliable 24/7 operation, you should make sure the following requirements are met. Not meeting any or multiple requirements can result in lower performance, shorten equipment life, and unpredictable failures.
Requirement | Explanation | Resolution |
Average CPU load below 70% | If you constantly overload the myBOX equipment, you can shorten its life. The device will produce excessive heat resulting in overall lower performance.
Keeping the CPU load over 70% will result in myACCESS periodic disconnects due to a system cooling. |
Overall consumed memory below 80% | If you consume all system memory, myBOX will limit the running processes. This can result in service interruption and errors. |
Ethernet interfaces – network delay below 10ms |
Reliable network communication is crucial for the trouble-free operation of the device.
Ethernet interfaces – lost packets below 0.5% |
Reliable network communication is crucial for the trouble-free operation of the device.
LTE interface – network delay below 500ms |
Reliable network communication is crucial for the trouble-free operation of the device.
LTE interface – lost packets below 1% | Reliable network communication is crucial for the trouble-free operation of the device.
Operate in a non-condensing environment | The condensing environment will cause permanent damage to your device. Water moisture will corrode the PCB board resulting in HW mulfunction. |
Operate in temperatures below 35 degrees | Operating in temperatures above 35 degrees will result in the limited performance of the device and shorten life. Especially RTC battery will suffer. |
Use the stable power supply | myBOX is designed to operate over a stable power supply. If used in the machinery which is regularly switched off, we strongly recommend using the UPS to keep the myBOX running. Extended power cycling will shorten the RTC battery life and can result in unexpected data logging errors. |
